Fee Policy

Financial regulations for admission processing, security, registration, refunds, and fee obligations.

  1. General: These regulations may be NEI Financial Regulations and shall be followed by the authorities if the Institute in the discharge of their financial function as assigned or prescribed from time to time by the Board.
  2. Definitions:-
  3. “Auditors” means the Chartered Account appointed with the approval of the Board.
  4. “Board” means the Board of Governors of National Excellence Institute.
  5. “Bank” means the bank approved by National Excellence Institute for the Institute’s Account.
  6. “Budget” means the financial estimate of National Excellence Institute for the financial year duly recommended by the finance and planning committee and approved by the Board..
  7. The candidates shall apply through National Excellence Institute online admission portal.
  8. The application for admission shall be processed online and queries will be entertained through in-built communication panel of the admission portal.
  9. Merit list for admission in the academic programs duly endorsed by the Admission Committees will be displayed on Institute website and notice boards.
  10. Students will be required to submit attested copies of their certificates within two weeks after the declaration of their final intermediate results by the respective Board, failing which the Institute has the right to cancel their admissions.
  11. The registration will be offered only to the students who would complete all the admission formalities including deposits of their 100 % fees and other dues on the prescribed date.
  12. Every undergraduate student shall be expected to take the full teaching load of the courses scheduled for the semester. A graduate level student, however, will have the option to register for fewer courses.
  13. Eligibility Criteria: Undergraduate Admission

BS (Computer Science)

  1. Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) / A Level or equivalent with Mathematics with minimum 60 % marks or
  2. Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) / A Level or equivalent with & Computer Studies /Computer Science with minimum 60 % marks.

BBA (Business Administration)

a. Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) / A Level or equivalent with minimum 50% marks

  1. Eligibility Criteria - Graduate Admissions
  2. Sixteen years of education (124 credit hours min.) after HSSC / F.A. / F.Sc. / Grade 12 or Equivalent will be required for admission in the MS / M.Phil. program.
  3. For award of MS / M.Phil. degree, candidates will either need to complete 30 credit hours of course work or complete 24 credit hours of course work along with a minimum of 6 credit hours for research work / thesis.

MS / M.Phil. (Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology)

  1. BS / BSc in relevant discipline.
  2. Minimum CGPA 2.50 / 4.00 or 50% marks.
  3. GAT General conducted by NTS with minimum 50% cumulative score or Institute Admission Test with minimum 60% cumulative score.

MS / M.Phil. (Business Administration / Accounting and Finance)

a. BS (International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, or Equivalent).

b. Minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or 50% marks.

c. GAT General conducted by NTS with minimum 50% cumulative score or Institute Admission Test with minimum 60% cumulative score.

  1. Admission Test: The admission will be conducted as per the following details: -
  2. Undergraduate Programs Admission Test: A written Admission Test is compulsory for admissions in the undergraduate programs. Candidates having valid test results of NTS and the entry tests conducted by the recognized testing agencies of Pakistan, are also eligible to apply.

i. BS Computer Science

ii. BS Software Engineering

iii. BS Information Technology

iv. Bachelor of Business Administration

v. Bachelor of Accounting and Finance

  1. The admission test will be conducted at the prescribed date(s) that will be announced through print and social media and Institute website.
  2. Passing Marks for undergraduate Admission Test will be 45%.
  3. Admission to the above programs will be processed on completing all admission requirements.
  4. Graduate Programs Admission Test: The tests conducted by National Testing Service Pakistan (NTS) for admission to MS / M.Phil. programs are accepted. Institute shall also conduct admission test on prescribed date that will be announced through print and social media and Institute website. The requirement of minimum cumulative score for admission to MS and PhD programs is as under: -
  5. Paper Setting Committees for Graduate Admission Test: The Institute shall constitute and notify paper setting committees for each of MS / M.Phil. programs offered. The committee shall be responsible to conduct the admission test under arrangements of the controller of examinations.
  6. Determination of Merit

a. BS Computer Science, Software Engineering and Information Technology: The final merit will be determined by allocating the percentages given below to Admission Test, HSSC and SSC or equivalent results. Final selection will be based on securing the eligibility standards. Applicants will be required to submit an Undertaking that they are aware of the fact that their admissions will be cancelled in case they fail to meet the minimum eligibility requirement.

a. Admission Test 30%

b. HSSC / A Level 50%

c. SSC / O Level 20%

b. Bachelor of Business Administration and Accounting and Finance: The final merit will be determined by allocating the percentages given below to Admission Test, HSSC and SSC or equivalent results. Final selection will be based on securing the eligibility standards. Applicants will be required to submit an Undertaking that they are aware of the fact that their admissions will be cancelled in case they fail to meet the minimum eligibility requirement.

a. Admission Test 40%

b. HSSC / A Level 40%

c. SSC / O Level 20%

c. MS / M.Phil. Computer Science, Software Engineering and Information Technology: The final merit will be determined by allocating the percentages given below to Admission Test, Interview, undergraduate (16 years of education), HSSC and SSC results. Final selection will be based on securing the eligibility standards. Applicants will be required to submit an Undertaking that they are aware of the fact that their admissions will be cancelled in case they fail to meet the minimum eligibility requirement.

c. Undergraduate (16 years) 30%

d. HSSC / A Level 10%

e. SSC / O Level 10%

d. MS / M.Phil. Business Administration and Accounting and Finance: The final merit will be determined by allocating the percentages given below to Admission Test, Interview, undergraduate (16 years of education), HSSC and SSC results. Final selection will be based on securing the eligibility standards. Applicants will be required to submit an Undertaking that they are aware of the fact that their admissions will be cancelled in case they fail to meet the minimum eligibility requirement.

  1. Submission of Documents: Candidates securing admission in desirous programs shall submit original academic documents at the Admission Office and also provide copies of the following documents:-
  2. Attested photocopy of SSC / equivalent certificate with detailed marks sheet.
  3. Attested photocopy of HSSC / equivalent certificate with detailed marks sheet.
  4. Attested photocopy of Bachelor's degree (16 years) with detailed marks sheet / transcript of grades as applicable for admission in MS / M.Phil. Programs.
  5. Attested photocopy of CNIC or Form 'B' of the candidate (if CNIC is not issued) and father
  6. Bank stamped copy of paid application processing fee challan amounting Rs 2,500/-
  7. Registration: An applicant will be registered as a Bonafede student of National Excellence Institute only after completion of all the admission formalities and deposit of 100 % fee and dues required for admission.
  8. The applicants will be admitted provisionally and their admission will be confirmed on submission of HSSC or equivalent result and original SSC / O level and HSSC / A Level certificates at the Admission Office.
  9. Institute Registration Number will be allotted to the admitted students. Registrar Branch shall issue Student Identity Card. This will allow the students to get enroll in different courses offered by the concerned department.
  10. If a student fails to submit original documents within the specified time limit notified by the Registrar Office, his/ her admission will be cancelled and the vacant seat will be allotted to the next candidate in the waiting list.
  11. All undergraduate admissions will be considered provisional until submission of original academic documents.
  12. Refund Policy:

a. The refund policy of National Excellence Institute for students of undergraduate programs is as under:

  1. Refund of full tuition fee (100 %) in case of de-registration of admission on his / her own request till 7th day of commencement of classes.
  2. Refund of 50% of tuition fee in case of de-registration of admission on his / her own request within 8th to 15th day of commencement of classes.
  3. Only security deposit will be refunded from 16th day of commencement of classes.
  4. 100 % tuition fee less admission fee will be refunded if a candidate fails to achieve the eligibility criteria and thus does not qualify for admission.

b. Refund policy of National Excellence Institute for the graduate students is as under:

i. Refund of full tuition fee in case an admission is cancelled within two weeks of commencement of classes. No refund will be made for cancellation of admission after two weeks of commencement of classes.

ii. In case of drop of courses within two weeks of the commencement of classes, 100% fee shall be refunded.

  1. This policy will be applicable for admissions in Academic Session 2025-26 only.
